    GOOD group is a community-driven organization dedicated to building wardrobes that are GOOD for the planet and its people through events & education. We host pop up clothing swaps with the vision of normalizing ethical, hyper-local, and conscious consumerism. We re-home the leftover items to the local economy and use any raised funds to invest in the future of GOOD group.

    We are a not for profit volunteer-led organization LLC.

    How can I volunteer for an event or join the team?

    Does GOOD group accept donations?

    Yes! We accept cash, credit card and Venmo donations at all events. We also appreciate donations in the form of clothing inventory, event space, food & beverage and event props like room dividers, clothing racks & hangers. To arrange a donation, email us here.

  • What kind of events does GOOD group throw?

    Our specialty is high impact, free clothing swaps. We try to host a clothing swap every season with related skills workshops sprinkled in-between. We think about every detail from venue, to marketing, to partnerships to ensure each event has a positive environmental, social and economic impact.

    What is a clothing swap?

    A clothing swap is when members of a community come together to share clothing items that are no longer serving them. It is an opportunity to re-home items locally and make connections with people in your community.

    How much does a GOOD group clothing swap cost?

    Our clothing swaps are FREE to attend. We do appreciate any donations you can make to support our operations & impact reporting initiatives.

    Where do GOOD group events take place?

    We throw events in Austin, TX at venues that are open to the public and share a vision for creating a better world.

  • What is rehoming?

    Rehoming is an intentional method of disposing clothing items that no longer serve you. Responsible rehoming considers the impacts of textiles & fashion waste on the planet & its people.

    What happens with the leftover items?

    We’ve built partnerships with local charities and upcyclers that we trust to thoughtfully re-home leftover items. Some items are sold to local resale shops as a way to raise funds to offset our operational costs.

  • How does GOOD group measure their impact?

    After every event, we do our best to highlight the social, environmental, and economic impact. You can see examples in our GOOD Reports posted on our Instagram: @goodgroup_atx . Our methodology for estimating impact is an ongoing project.

    How does the GOOD group team reduce their impact?

    We’ve chosen marketing and communications strategies that reduce the electrical needs to build, maintain and access our content. Just like our shopping habits, we keep our communications high quality, low quantity because we value the time and energy of our audience!
